We are a nonprofit working farm and equestrian center nestled in the beautiful Berkshire Hills. Here you will discover opportunities and programming for restorative wellbeing, community building, and inspired learning.
Families, friends, individuals, and groups come here to connect with the beauty and tranquility of nature, enjoy engaging educational workshops, experience the therapeutic benefits of interacting with the animals, and discover the fascinating agricultural history of the Berkshires.
HomeFarm is located in Lenox, Massachusetts. Our historic Victorian farm buildings are surrounded by 95 acres of pasture, forest, and hayfields.

HomeFarm at Undermountain is a 501(c)3 nonprofit committed to community wellbeing, historical preservation, and the arts. We teach recreational horsemanship and equine husbandry, and provide therapeutic equine-assisted programs to children and adults. We also provide a resource for horse rescue, sanctuary, and retirement.
Please help us preserve the unique historical architecture and purpose of HomeFarm through adaptive reuse and restoration of our buildings and property.

We love welcoming visitors to the farm; however, for safety and staffing concerns, we request that you make an appointment to visit. You can also schedule a tour or a lesson or sign up for any of our programs.

We love dogs, and there are several dogs that live on the farm. However, we kindly ask that you keep your dog at home for their safety, as well as the safety of our animals and staff.

Currently, we do not offer trail rides to the public. Our riding students may incorporate a trail in their lesson if appropriate.
About Our History
A rare surviving example of an intact Gilded Age estate farm, HomeFarm was built in 1902 by Boston surgeon Henry P. Jaques and his brother Eustace Jaques, who were active in the Lenox hunt and carriage society and raised purebred Guernsey cows.
